Problem:

Joints in the floor of the city pool where failing, causing leaks. Window if time to repair joints was limited, due to the scheduled reopening of the pool. Underground Tech was contacted to repair the deteriorated joints.

Solution:

The first step was to remove the existing pool lining down to the concrete substrate. After the surrounding lining was removed and the joint thoroughly cleaned and dried, restoration could begin.  Backer rod was placed in the joint first, followed by Madewell 806 Trowelable Flexible Joint Seal.  Fiberglass and resign was then placed over the joint, extending 6” on each side of the joint.

Benefit:

Project was completed from start to finish in under 2 days. 100ft of joint was successfully repaired using the Madewell Cold Joint System repair method.
